A light breeze and warm sunshine accompanied my photography session of 2 groups of crystals and minerals today. Hope you enjoy viewing the pictures as much as I did taking them.

Many of these stones come from my collection acquired in 2005.

Red Starburst Needle Quartz Cluster covered with Second Generation Quartz
Second Soviet Mine, Dal'negorsk, Far Eastern Russia
3.3" by 3.3" by 1.9"
82 grams

Available

This is a crazy cluster featuring a wild, radiating burst of red needle quartz covered by a later generation of white quartz. You can easily see the resemblance with coral growth in this stone. What more can I say? :)

Huge Dark Green Prasem in Japanese Law Twin formation
Pavlovka, Azerbaijan, Far Eastern Russia
3.5" by 3.0" by 1.5"
163 grams

Available

This is one of the largest Russian prasem specimens I have come across. It exudes a quiet inner strength and comes as a pair of Japanese Law twins. One of the remaining pieces which I've kept till now.

Dark Green Prasem Hedenbergite Quartz (Prasem) on a bed of Gemmy Red Garnet
Pavlovka, Azerbaijan, Far Eastern Russia
1.4" by 1.25" by 0.8"
35.3 grams

Available

This is another Russian prasem but this time, it sits on a bed of gemmy red garnet. A very neatly formed piece which glitters with its dark red light.

White Quartz Cluster with Apophyllite Base
Bor Quarry, Dal'negorsk, Far Eastern Russia
2.5" by 2.0" by 1.4"
117 grams

This cluster has 2 faces - a neat formation of white quartz (pictured) and a sparkly bed of terminated apophyllite crystals (on the other side, not pictured). Hope you like surprises ;)

Radiating Milky-Clear Quartz Cluster with Spots of Ilvaite Inclusions
Bor Quarry, Dal'negorsk, Far Eastern Russia
2.5" by 2.3" by 1.75"
73.2 grams

Available

As a contrast to the other white quartz cluster above, this one radiates with its thin needles. The crystals here are almost clear to milky white, and there are numerous spots of black ilvaite scattered around.

Large Yellow Quartz Cluster
Bor Quarry, Dal'negorsk, Far Eastern Russia
6.9" by 5.0" by 2.75"
750 grams

Available

We have moved a number of these yellow quartz clusters in the past years and this is the largest and most aesthetically pleasing piece which we have kept till now. It has a charming colour which we enjoy as it sits on our desk these past years. It is time now to pass him on :)
